HOW MUCH DOES A KITCHEN REMODEL COST?

Four things drive the cost of a kitchen remodel: cabinets, counters, layout and appliances.

Every kitchen prices differently, and these four choices do most of the moving.

Cabinets

Usually the biggest line on the job. Custom fits your kitchen exactly, semi-custom sits in the middle, and refacing your existing boxes costs the least.

Counters

Material moves the number more than square footage does. Quartz is the popular pick. Granite and marble are priced slab by slab.

Layout

Keeping the sink, stove and fridge where they are keeps costs down. Moving plumbing or taking out a wall adds labor, and sometimes it is worth it. We price it honestly so you can decide.

Appliances

The spread between standard and pro-style is bigger than most people expect. Bigger hoods and gas upgrades can touch ducting too.

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Sacramento?+
It depends on four things: cabinets, counters, layout changes and appliances. Those are the big levers, and every kitchen pulls them differently. That is why we design your kitchen first, then give you one written price before any demo starts. You know the real number for your kitchen before a single cabinet comes out.
Is design really included in the price?+
Yes. Our in-house designer draws your kitchen as part of the job. You keep the drawings either way. There is no separate design bill and no outside design firm to hire.
How long does a kitchen remodel take?+
It depends on the scope. Keeping your current layout is faster. Moving walls, plumbing or gas lines adds time, and custom cabinets have their own lead time. Before demo starts we walk you through the schedule for your kitchen, so you know what to expect week by week.
Can we live at home during the remodel?+
Most families do. We seal off the kitchen, protect your floors, and help you set up a simple temporary kitchen somewhere else in the house. You get a working kitchen the whole time, and you skip the cost of moving out.
Do you handle permits and inspections?+
Yes. We pull the permits and schedule the inspections for kitchen remodels across the greater Sacramento area. Valley Home Construction is a licensed contractor, CSLB License #982830, and BBB A+ accredited.
